How Does It Work? | The Science Behind Female Viagra

Both of the drugs boost the activity of chemical messengers in the brain called neurotransmitters. Chemicals like dopamine, serotonin, and norepinephrine have a connection with sexual arousal.

An article in the Journal of Sexual Medicine discussed the link between serotonin and the treatment of female Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder.[3]

Female Viagra Ingredients – The Breakdown

There are two possible prescription, FDA-approved drugs to treat low arousal in women:

Flibanserin – This is a medication treat female Hypoactive Sexual Desire Disorder in premenopausal women. The FDA approved it in August 2015.

According to the Mayo Clinic, “Addyi may boost sex drive in women with low sexual desire and who find the experience distressing.”[4]

You can only purchase these medications through a pharmacy with a prescription from your doctor. It was more expensive in the past, but now you pay $99 for a bottle of 30 of Flibanserin.

Insurance may cover some of the costs. Bremelanotide is $948 for a supply of 1.2 milliliters. It’s not clear how long this would last.

Final Verdict

Female Viagra consists of a drug called Flibanserin or an injectable medication called Bremelanotide. These are expensive prescription drugs that have a somewhat limited effect on sex drive.

Research shows an average of one extra sexually satisfying encounter a month, which is very little. You can give the product a try, but don’t expect a miracle.

You can only buy these medications through a pharmacy with a legitimate prescription from a doctor. That means you should have a full medical checkup before you start taking these medications.

There may be side effects. If you experience uncomfortable symptoms, stop taking the product immediately.

Q: Does Female Viagra have any side effects?

A: The potential side effects associated with Flibanserin are low blood pressure, dizziness, and fainting, especially when mixed with alcohol.

Potential side effects associated with bremelanotide include nausea, headache, vomiting, and reactions at the injection site.

Q: Can I take Female Viagra if I have a health condition?

Q: Does Female Viagra work?

A: Research on Flibanserin shows that it can lead to less than one extra satisfying sexual encounter per month. So it works, but not very well. In addition, it doesn’t address the underlying cause of the low libido – a hormonal imbalance. Bremelanotide also has a moderate effect on sex drive.

Q: What is Female Viagra moneyback guarantee, return & refund policy?

A: These are prescription medications, so there is no return policy in particular. Some pharmacies may give you your money back if the pills are still sealed, but that’s up to the description and policy of the specific drug store.

    I really regret buying this!!!!!

Thought of trying this for the first time as I wanted to see if it works for me or not. Took two pills the first night and had really good experience. The other night, I took four pills and it didn’t work at all. So I read upon looking for its ingredients on the bottle and most of the doesn’t promise enhancing anything in a female body. They are just aphrodisiacs. Regret buying this
