How Does Flarin Joint & Muscular Pain Relief Work?
Unlike the standard formulation of ibuprofen, Flarin encases this substance in lipids, which helps it travel through the stomach and break down in the small intestine. This mechanism that they call “the innovation of the year” presumably allows ibuprofen to transport better inside the body and facilitates reaching the areas of pain and inflammation.
In the damaged area, a group of lipid autacoid-derived chemicals called prostaglandins are released in response to injury and strain. These substances can cause inflammation which leads to swelling, pain, and stiffness. This medicine works by blocking the chemicals causing pain and inflammation and further creating pain, swallowing, and stiffness in joins.
One human study has confirmed that “the new lipid formulation of low-dose ibuprofen shows non-inferiority to high-dose standard ibuprofen.” [1].
What Are the Ingredients in Flarin Joint & Muscular Pain Relief?
Ibuprofen (200 mg)
The main active ingredient in Flarin is ibuprofen, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicine (NSAIDs). It is a famous non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicine class medication used for treating mild to moderate pains, inflammatory diseases, rheumatoid disorders, fever, etc. Widely used in many countries for pain relief, ibuprofen, compared to other well-known painkillers, is a relatively safe and low-risk medicine [2].
Macrogol 400
Macrogol (or macrogols), also known as polyethylene glycol (PEG), is a laxative taken to treat constipation. It can be combined with Hard Fat to create mucoadhesive tablets containing various types of polyvinyl alcohol [3].
Hard Fat
Also called visceral fat, Hard Fat is a human body compatible lipid. A form of Hard lipid exists deep under the skin; however, the source of this medicine is plant-based. [4]

Glyceryl Monolinoleate [5]
Glyceryl monolinoleate is a natural product in Saposhnikovia divaricata, Pseudostellaria heterophylla, and other organisms. It is the second lipid included in this formula.
As a part of Flarin, both Hard Fat and Glyceryl Monolinoleate (long chain fatty acids from a vegetable source) are used to enclose ibuprofen from releasing in the stomach.
There are also inactive ingredients which create the capsules. Flarin Capsule shells are made of gelatin, sorbitol, purified water, and *Brilliant Blue (E133) *Allura Red (E129) as food colorants.
Brilliant blue [6] (E133)
Brilliant blue is a synthetic organic substance used primarily as a blue colorant for processed foods, medications, dietary supplements, and cosmetics. It is classified as a triarylmethane dye.
Allura Red (E129) [7]
Allura Red (with E number E129) is usually used as a food dye, supplied as its red sodium salt, but can also be used as the calcium and potassium salts.
Allergic reactions to these food colorants are rare but sometimes possible.
Other ingredients include sorbitol, Hard Fat, and glyceryl monolinoleate.
