How Does ReGROW Work?
ReGROW is rich in nutrients that may have benefits for hair loss and growth, promoting the development of healthy hair proteins and enzymes and stimulating the follicles. In addition, it has potent antioxidants that lower oxidative stress by destroying free radicals.
A 24-week study of men and women with self-perceived thinning hair published in the International Journal of Cosmetic Science by Michael G Davis, et al concluded that scalp application of antioxidants improved health and reduced thinning.[1]
This results in the repair of damage to the follicles, possibly improving the growth potential, as we said in our review of IGK Hair Care. The formula has anti-inflammatory agents that could decrease swelling in the follicles and scalp. This may relieve scalp irritation and redness and help with growth.
ReGROW contains proteins essential to hair growth and health like keratin and collagen, which help strengthen the hair strands and follicles to promote growth, thickness, and volume. The mineral biotin could help improve the keratin infrastructure for hair health and growth benefits.

A pilot study of mice published in Communications Biology by Seong Yeong An, et al found evidence of the hair-regeneration properties of keratin injections.[2]
The ingredients may also improve circulation to the scalp and follicles, enhancing health and possibly promoting growth. In addition, this could also help balance nutrient distribution throughout the scalp. Other ingredients boost moisture levels to help prevent dryness.
ReGROW contains ingredients that help balance hormone levels by preventing the conversion of testosterone into DHT. As DHT is implicated in hair loss, this could have benefits for preventing shedding and helping with regrowth as we said in our review of Hair La Vie Clinical Formula Hair Vitamins.
A scientific review published in StatPearls explored the physiology of dihydrotestosterone.[3]
What Are the Ingredients?
Some of the primary active ReGROW ingredients include:
Saw Palmetto Berry Extract: This palm tree extract has bioactive agents that may prevent the conversion of testosterone into the hormone DHT, helping to prevent shedding and promote regrowth, as we said in our review of Divine Locks.
A 16-week study of healthy men and women with androgenetic alopecia published in Clinical, Cosmetic, and Investigational Dermatology by Heggar Venkataramana Sudeep, et al concluded that saw palmetto oil helped reduce hair loss and prevent regrowth.[4]
Ashwagandha Root and Leaf: This is a shrub called Withania Somnifera that boosts levels of the brain chemical GABA to lower stress, which is a common cause of hair loss. In addition, it is rich in antioxidants and nutrients that could repair damage to follicles and help promote regrowth of hair.
A 75-day study of healthy adults with mild to moderate hair loss published in the Journal of Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine by Chinmai Yerram, et al concluded that the application of a serum with ashwagandha improved hair health and health.[5]
Biotin: There’s some mixed evidence that indicates that this mineral could help build the keratin infrastructure, boosting the health and the hair and helping to promote regrowth.
A review published in Skin Appendage Disorders by Deepa P. Patel, et al found only limited evidence for the benefits of biotin in hair growth.[6]
Verdict: There is evidence indicating that some of the primary active ingredients in ReGROW may help promote hair health and improve health, although in other studies results are mixed.

No Adverse Effects but Limited Growth!
After using Purehealth Regrow for about a month, I am still assessing its effectiveness. I haven’t experienced any adverse effects, which is a plus. While my hair feels somewhat healthier, I’m yet to see noticeable growth. I am kind of losing hope.
